October to April marks the wet season during spring and summer. Expect hot days with occasional thunderstorms bringing brief but intense rainfall.
May to September, the dry season, defines the autumn and winter period. The weather is characterized by dry, mild days with blue skies. However, mornings can be cold, and some overcast, cooler days may occur.
Who are the 'Big Five'?

What should I wear on safari?
Comfortable and casual attire that suits the season is perfect for your safari. You should always bring a hat, sandals or flip-flops and a pair of closed-toe shoes in addition to at least one outfit that covers your arms and legs. In summer, opt for light, breathable clothing and a compact rain jacket for unexpected showers. In winter, the cold mornings and evenings require warmer layers. Neutral-coloured clothing is advised but not obligatory.
